Dimension Shifter, GameDev.tv Game jam 2023

Dimension shifter  is a tunnel run game experiment in shifting from a 3D environment to   a 2D shooter . 

The controls are fairly simple AWSD for direction, Mouse button 1 or Space to fire the weapon, Mouse button 2 or M shift dimension when fully charged. 

Esc pauses the game.

All spiky things will kill you.  Avoid them at all costs. 

There are only a few levels currently and limited enemies. There are still a few bugs to do with collisions. 

Ok. Added an updated  version. The original is still available as a windows download. 

The game now runs faster, the enemies are more effective. The barrel of the gun now has a fixed rotation in 2d mode and hopefully I have managed to fix some of the other bugs. Also since the 2d mode seamed to feel like it ran faster than in 3d mode I have implemented slightly different forward motion speeds in the the two different play modes to balance it a bit.
